Marc Black, a 2014 inductee into the New York Chapter of the Blues Hall of Fame, will share his personal experiences and musical influences from a pivotal era in American history. Through his songs and stories, Marc will transport the audience back to the vibrant and transformative years of the Woodstock generation, exploring its social and political impact. Marc’s career has been intertwined with the legends of the era, having performed and recorded with artists such as Art Garfunkel, John Sebastian, Rick Danko, Richie Havens, Taj Mahal, and Pete Seeger. His early days with the Blades of Grass saw him sharing stages with The Doors, Van Morrison, and Neil Diamond, solidifying his connection to the era’s musical landscape. He also received the American Library Association Award for Best Children’s Album of the Year for his production of American Children.
