About Us

The Center provides support services for families and children living in Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, and eastern Clearwater. Our mission is to nurture and strengthen children, youth, adults, families and communities through education, support services and collaborative partnerships to improve people’s lives and help them achieve self-sufficiency.

We achieve this mission by immediately addressing critical needs, helping families to break the cycle of poverty and find financial independence. We provide early childhood enrichment through education services for K-8, one-on-one family support assistance, and distribute healthy food through our food pantry.

MWNFC is a community center for everyone, no matter where you are in life, you will be welcomed at Mattie Williams.

The Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors that represent the diverse community we serve. A staff of 20, led by an executive director, is complemented by more than 40 regular volunteers. For more than 25 years, the Center has served families in north Pinellas County.
