About Us
La Femme Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community center in the Tampa Bay area. With a mission to help women and girls reimagine their futures through educational resources, La Femme is dedicated to connecting its Members to the tools necessary for their personal growth and future success. Across our five programs, Art Studio, Community Garden, Couture Closet, MakerSpace, & Study Hall, our Members may join workshops, meet with experts, or complete self-guided learning in a multitude of areas from art and technology to sustainability and independence through life skills.
We believe women are capable of anything they set their minds to, but societal blocks have prevented them from making strides in business, politics, finance, and other fields where their talents and perspectives are currently lacking. We aim to dismantle these barriers by offering educational resources that give our Members a leg-up in real-world scenarios in which their capabilities as women may be questioned or diminished.
